To get the retail replacement value of each item, UGL laboratory uses this methods:

advertise jewelry or art as an investment. Our company believes that
investments are to be offered by money managers and not by jewelry
or art seller. We recommend that if a seller advertises an item as
an investment you simply ask him "What will you pay me if I was to
sell the item back to you?" because if the goods are such a good
investment then the seller will definitely be happy to give you his
buy back price. Example: if you buy gold or a stock there is always

We recommend you
to be very careful. Before you buy from any seller advertising goods
at a retail value of over $10,000 without an appraisal. You should
ask the seller for a valid appraisal from a reputable company ( AIG
,GIA, EGL). If the seller advertises high retail value without an
appraisal, contact him and ask for clarifications Insist on seeing
an adequate appraisal stating the quality and the value of the item.
Don't get seduced by what seems to be to good to be true because it

HOW CAN I FIND
OUT THE VALUE OF THE GOODS I GOT FROM YOU?
We
recommend that you do the due diligence BEFORE you bid . Some of our
costumers have taken items to some jeweler and they came up with a
lesser value then the retail value appraised by AIG. As a buyer you
need to know that appraised and retail value are subjective and can
vary from one appraisal company to another. To make sure you get the
best deals from us , we recommend that you follow our buyer

the only thing that matter is what the auction close for not what
value it starts from. We like you to get the best prices on any
auction so if you can get items for $1 go for it, as practice we
sell in different ways: $1 minimum bid with no reserve, $100 no
reserve and reserve auctions. Again we recommend you to compare the
final prices of the goods you buy from us with other sellers not the

TIP OF THE TRADE TO FIND OUT WHAT YOUR GOODS REALLY
WORTH
Any
jeweler or dealer that finds out you got goods from us will tell you
that the price you paid is too high, because we kill their business.
The only way you can find out what any jeweler really will charge
for any item is if you come to him as a "buyer".
to get an idea about the real value of the
goods you get from us, you need to go to your local mall or any
other retail location in your city and tell the jeweler you are
looking to "buy" the same item that you got from us since you got it
for your wife and now some other family member wants to have the
same one made. Don't ever tell the jeweler what you paid for it and
don't show him an appraisal. You need to ask the jewelers what will
it cost you to have him make you the same kind of a ring that you
just got from us. You can check with 2 or 3 jewelers just to get a
better idea.
Only when the jeweler thinks you are a real
buyer he will give you the price he would charge for it !!!
HERE IS THE
MISTAKE MOST BUYERS DO:
When you come to a jeweler and ask him: I
just got this ring of the internet and I paid $$$ for if - what do
you think it worth? It is just like going to a car dealer and asking
him to tell you what is it worth. Now if you come to the car dealer
and ask him to buy the same car = the price will be about 3 to 5
times higher.

IF YOU HAVE AN EMERALD THAT IS APPRAISED BY AIG FOR
$132,000... WHY WOULD YOU LOOK TO SELL IT TO A BUY IT NOW PRICE OF $19,800 WITH AN
OPENING BID OF ONLY $6,600?
We buy the goods from jewelry manufactures and dealers in big quantities at one time, so
we get prices that are under market prices. After purchasing the item, we market it in
different ways. Some time we sell it loose- that is when you see a loose diamond or a
loose emerald etc. for sale. In other cases, when the items is already a complete piece
of jewelry, we sell it as is. We also mount goods into fine jewelry in our own factory.
After deciding how the item will be sold, we send it to AIG for an appraisal. AIG in an
independent laboratory that grades jewelry gems and loose diamonds to many other
jewelers all over the USA.
After appraising the item at the AIG laboratory, we put it up for auction per the
description of the gemologist that is signed on the appraisal.
Since the appraisal value is only the opinion of the appraiser, we recommend that you
shop around and compare our prices with any other seller, dealer or jeweler.
The main reason why the appraisal is so much higher than the price that we are willing
to sell is that the retail jewelers mark up the same items we sell from 500% up to
1000%.
We sell the same goods that you see online to jewelry stores for the same prices we sell
to our buyers on bid4assets.

HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT THE APPRAISED VALUE IS FOR THAT ONE
ITEM YOU SHOW AND NOT ANOTHER PIECE OF BETTER QUALITY?
All of our appraisals come with a serial number that is only used for the original
appraisal. If you need to confirm any information regarding the appraisal you can call
AIG lab at (818) 712-9750 and verify the item with each appraisal. When you call AIG
please have the auction id number ready and the number of the appraisal.

If you pay the regular shipping fee of $18.95 we ship by UPS and you get the item in 3 to 5
days after payment was received. If you want to get the item overnight, you need to pay
$33.95 and your item will be there the next day we get your payment.

CAN THE ITEMS BE SOLD FOR THEIR RETAIL VALUE? IF SO, WHERE COULD I
SELL THEM?
Retail value means by definition is what a retail store will sell to a retail buyer. If you
have a store in a high retail location with a known name and years if business reputation,
you can sell for the retail value or close to it. We sell to jewelers that are retailers and
that is were the retail price comes from. For more information about the retail value
indicated on the appraisal, you can contact the maker of the appraisal and get all the
information from him.

WHY ARE YOU ASKING $48.00 FOR APPRAISALS NOW? WHY NOT JUST FOLD THE 48.00 INTO YOUR RESERVE PRICE AND LET THE BUYER THINK THE APPRAISAL IS INCLUDED?
AS YOU CAN SEE WE HAVE ITEMS THAT COME WITH AN APPRAISAL AND WE HAVE OTHERS THAT DON'T - EACH APPRAISAL COST US MONEY (ABOUT $48 FOR EACH, SOMETIME MORE THAN THAT)- IF WE WANT TO ADD THIS FEE TO THE ITEM OF THE PRICE, THAT MEANS THAT ANY ITEM WILL COST YOU MINIMUM PRICE + $48 JUST TO HAVE THE APPRAISAL.
